MARQUETTE — Two people were transported to UP Health System-Marquette after a two-vehicle accident occurred this morning at the intersection of Grove Street and McClellan Avenue in Marquette.

“It was a T-bone incident, two people were transported to UPHS,” Lt. Jeff Haile of the Marquette City Fire Department said at the scene.

Haile said the two people transported to the hospital had minor injuries as a result of the accident that occurred just before 9 this morning.

The cause of the incident is currently unknown and is “under investigation right now,” Haile said.

The Marquette City Police Department, UPHS Emergency Medical Services and the Marquette City Fire Department were among the responding agencies on the scene.
