Camryn Sandstrom, 9, was crowned the 2018 Pioneer Princess Thursday night at the Negaunee Irontown Association’s Pioneer Princess Pageant held at the Negaunee High School. Ten girls competed in the luau-themed competition and trained for three weeks leading up to the annual Pioneer Days event. Duties of the new princess for the coming year include throwing the first pitch for the Alumni Softball Championship game, awarding the alumni softball T-shirts to the winning team and riding with Santa on the fire truck to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in November.
