MARQUETTE — A woman was injured in a one-vehicle personal injury crash that occurred on Marquette County Road 550 near Eagles Nest Road in Marquette Township around 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

Kaylee Brace, 19, of Saint Helen was southbound in a 2004 Kia when she lost control of her vehicle, which rolled onto the west side of County Road 550, according to the sheriff’s office.

She was transported to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, the release states.

According to police, Brace said she was reaching for an item in the passenger side of the vehicle when she accidentally turned the steering wheel to the right, causing her to enter the ditch and crash.

While police say Brace is listed at fault for the crash, neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
