MARQUETTE — Marquette County Road 601 in Humboldt Township, about 1 mile north of County Road 478, at the crossing of the Black River, has been closed until further notice, according to a release from the Marquette County Road Commission.

The release states the road has washed out and will remain closed until the water recedes and the road commission is able to make any necessary repairs. County Road 601 also remains closed 1.7 miles south of County Road 478 due to the culvert project at the crossing of Bruce Creek. According to the release, the only outlet between the two closures is County Road 478.
