MARQUETTE – Members of Job’s Daughters drill team will compete with other state drill teams in Grand Rapids June 19-21. Mary Ann Martin, 17, John D. Pierce High School junior, led the team in a practice session last night along Kaye Ave. The girls promoted car washes, dances and bake sales to obtain money for their uniforms and part of the expenses to make the trip. James Nancarrow is the leader of the drill team. Mrs. Carl Martin is guardian and Mrs. John Martin is treasurer. Marquette’s group was the second Job’s Daughters drill team to have been organized in Michigan.
