MDOT project to start on Monday

BARAGA — The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $2.5 million to resurface 27 miles of M-38 from the M-26/M-38 intersection east to Beartown Road near Baraga.

Work will include asphalt resurfacing, chip sealing, crack filling, aggregate base, drainage improvements and pavement markings at various locations on M-38. Crack sealing, drainage and shoulder improvement work is expected to begin on Monday, with roadway resurfacing work planned to begin in late May. The estimated completion date is Aug. 7.
