MARQUETTE — A Gwinn woman was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. 41 near Midway Drive in Negaunee Township at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

Jack Cram, 34, of Marquette was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and turned out of Midway Drive, heading east onto U.S. 41 when he entered the path of a westbound 2009 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Makayla Mayo, 23, of Gwinn.

Mayo was transported to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, the release states. Cram was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
