Woman arraigned on drug charge
MARQUETTE — Rebecca Denny, 34, of Ishpeming, has been arraigned upon one count of controlled substance — possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and one count of driving while license suspended, second.
Denny pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving while license suspended, second and was scheduled for a pre-trial on April 11 on the charge.
Denny is scheduled for a probable cause conference on April 11, with a preliminary examination set for April 18 for the charge of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy.
The charges stem from a traffic stop of Denny’s 2003 Saturn conducted by Marquette City Police officers after a traffic violation around 11:15 p.m. Monday.
Denny was arrested and lodged at the Marquette County Jail after the incident. Denny’s bond was set at $50,000 for the count of controlled substance — possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and $250 for the count of driving while license suspended, second.
