Open a Home to Build a Home

Nativity scene collection event continues this month

Fred and Carol Margrif have their 300+ nativity collection on public display in their home to raise funds for Marquette County Habitat for Humanity through December and January. Each piece is unique and have been collected from around the globe. “It just grew, nothing we ever intended but we were fascinated by how different artist in different countries can portray one story,” said Carol Margrif about why they were drawn to nativities over the years. The collection can be seen at 128 Timberlane in Harvey. Dates for viewing are Saturday from 6-9 p.m.; Jan. 14, noon to 3 p.m. and Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Journal photo by Corey Kelly)
