MARQUETTE — The Veridea Group has approval from the Marquette City Planning Commission for the first phase of its newest development — The Residences at Harbor Vista located at 1880 U.S. 41; the site of the former Nordic Bay and Tiroler Hof Inn.

Overlooking Marquette’s Lower Harbor, the upscale apartments will feature pet-friendly studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Stainless steel appliances, high-efficiency washers and dryers, and underground parking will also be included. Direct access to downtown Marquette and the beach via the bike path and connectivity to the Noquemanon Trail Network’s south trails are also key features of the development.

“We are excited to begin the first phase of the Harbor Vista development,” said Veridea Director of Commercial Real Estate Michele Thomas in a news release. “We are particularly pleased to be able to reuse this wonderful property in a new and fresh way — offering a housing option that takes advantage of the existing natural resources and the spectacular views of the harbor.”

The apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2018.
