Hundreds of children and their parents visited Ellwood A. Mattson Park in Marquette Wednesday to participate in a homemade instrument making workshop and parade as part of the cityÕs annual Art Week. The Hiawatha Music Co-op hosted the event, which featured instrument making and decorating from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Following the workshop, children were taught a few songs from local band The Jive Trio featuring Frank Youngman, Mark Schrock and Tom T. Gitche Gumee Transit IIÓ by artist Christopher Schmidt is displayed in the ÒA Day on the Trails is a Day Well SpentÓ exhibit along the Noquemanon South Trails in Marquette. The exhibit is part of Art Week, which runs through Saturday. A half-mile loop beginning at the NTN South Trailhead on M-553 takes recreationists through an array of artwork from local artists.
