Sheriff’s office: Man sought after failing to report to jail

MARQUETTE –The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance regarding the whereabouts of Dennis Lee Swenor, 35.

Swenor is being sought because he failed to report to jail on charge of possession of a controlled substance and a felony charge of absconding/forfeiting bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

Swenor was sentenced over Zoom to serve 18 months to eight years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. However, police said Swenor failed to report to follow instructions by a judge to report to jail on Nov. 20.

Swenor is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on Swenor’s immediate location is asked to call 911 or Marquette County Central Dispatch at 906-475-9912. Anyone who has possible location information is asked to call the sheriff’s department tip line at 906-225-8441.
