The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office reports remains found Thursday have been positively identified as Jimmy Lee Willey, 66, of Beecher, Wisconsin, who was reported missing June 6 along with his vehicle.

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Suave said in a news release that his office was contacted by the Michigan State Police, which had located the missing van containing human remains.

A woman walking her dog discovered the van stuck on a swampy remote trail along Chapel Road off County Road H-58 in Munising Township of Alger County, the press release states.
