MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Police Department is investigating the deaths of two individuals.

Around 8:10 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a residence at 911 Sherman St. A 31-year-old female and a 29-year-old male, both Marquette residents, were found dead in the residence, a press release from the Marquette City Police Department states.

Police said there is no danger to the public, but would not disclose any other details surrounding the incident.

Marquette police were assisted by UP Health System EMS, the Marquette City Fire Department, Michigan State Police Crime Lab and Northern Michigan University Police Department.

The cause of the deaths are still under investigation at this time.
