HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP — A Florida man was pronounced dead on the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Wednesday near the U.S. 41 and M-95 intersection in Humboldt Township.

The crash took place around 12:20 p.m. on southbound U.S. 41 around a half mile west of the M-95 intersection, according to the Michigan State Police Negaunee Township post.

The name of the 69-year-old Florida man who died in the crash is being withheld at this time, pending notification of his next of kin, police said this morning.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation as of this morning, according to the state police.

The Michigan State Police were assisted by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Humboldt Township Fire Department and UP Health System-Marquette EMS.
