British invasion at PWPL?

Beatles tribute band entertains, educates

The Beatles Forever tribute band performs in the Peter White Public Library Community Room Tuesday evening. Detroit poet M.L. Liebler, left, performs with the band, sharing his story of growing up with the Beatles. Library coordinator Carolyn McManis thought the performance would be popular with library patrons. “It’s great when we can bring out-of-town people in for music,” McManis said. “I mean we have a lot of really good local musicians, but in the summer it’s an opportunity for people to hear something different. I think music and literature are all cultural things and it’s adding to the culture we have up here and that's what people can get out of it as well as having a good time and for many of the people here it’s traveling down memory lane.” (Journal photo by Trinity Carey)
