Interviews conducted in west-end shooting

MARQUETTE — The three people sought by police after a drive-by shooting in Ishpeming Tuesday night have all been located and interviewed, but no arrests have been made, authorities said.

Following the shooting, the Ishpeming Police Department issued a notice of three people of interest: Brandon Schiefel, 24, of Ishpeming; Alicia Kerkela, 26, of Ishpeming; and Michael Paul Fletcher Jr., 29, of Marquette.

Police declined to comment on whether the three individuals remain people of interest in the investigation.

Officials said Wednesday afternoon no other person of interest has developed in the investigation.

No injuries were reported after the Ishpeming police responded to the drive-by shooting at 635 Iron St. in Ishpeming around 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Ishpeming Police Department.

A search began after the incident when police believed Schiefel, Kerkela and Fletcher Jr. allegedly fled the scene in a Buick, according to the press release.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on South Second Street in Ishpeming, police said.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing as of this morning.
