MARQUETTE- According to university spokesperson Derek Hall, Northern Michigan University head hockey coach Walt Kyle is no longer on administrative leave.

Hall also stated that Associate Director of Athletics Bridget Berube Carter is also no longer on leave.

According to Hall, the university decided the short administrative leave was necessary to conduct an internal review and added both Kyle and Berube Carter are allowed back to work. The review was led by university auditor Jill Compton and the director of human resources Rhea Dever. Hall said both determined that no university bylaws or university policies were violated.

Hall said that “The university will not comment on specifics concerning personnel issues.”
