Piano Duet Festival — Northern Michigan University’s Department of Music will present a free Piano Duet Festival beginning at 1 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall. It will showcase the work of local piano teachers Esther Barrington and Nancy Railey, along with their students. Local pianist Lynne Lanczy will also perform. Several young performers from beginner level to advanced will have an opportunity to play on the Steinway grand pianos at NMU. 10th Annual Night of Music Concert — is taking place. This year the event is a “Leap Day Matinee” at 2 p.m. in the WC Peterson Auditorium at Ishpeming High School. Performances by Hematites in Harmony, Strictly Gospel, Kurt and Kim, and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and students are free. Those under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
