Thin Mint Shuffle — The Michigan Iron Industry Museum and local Girl Scouts are hosting an afternoon of snowshoeing, learning about local mining history, register to join Girl Scouts and have fun with friends and family. Anyone and everyone who loves to snowshoe or would like to try it for the first time are welcome. Snowshoe at your own pace along the museum’s 1/3-mile Geology Trail or with a trail mentor, enjoying the wooded views and the interpretive signs that illustrate the Carp River Forge. The event features a museum scavenger hunt, participant patch and refreshments. Bring your own or snowshoes are available to borrow thanks to Wilderness Sports and Aspen Ridge School. The event is from 2-4 p.m. People are invited to drop in at any time. Donations are appreciated: $5/person, $20/families of four or more and includes a fun patch.
