Isle Royale study to be discussed

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites those interested in both nature and the arts to the Isle Royale Winter Study at 7 tonight in the library’s community room on the lower level.

In this multi-media presentation, Terri Bocklund, Kathleen Heideman Rydholm, and Curt Kowalski present the relationship between wolves and moose on Isle Royale.

As an Artist-in-Residence at Isle Royale National Park in 2013, Terri wrote songs inspired by this remote, unspoiled wilderness, which she will perform with her husband Curt. Kathleen will recite original poetry, also inspired by this pristine place during her time as an Artist-in-Residence.

Their program will be rounded out with clips from George Desort’s film “Fortunate Wilderness: The Wolf and Moose Study of Isle Royale.”

Sponsored by the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library, there is no admission fee to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
