Chelsea and Douglas Beckman

GAYLORD — Chelsea Rae Rowley and Douglas Eugene Beckman were united in marriage on Aug. 31, 2019 at Sojourn Lakeside Resort in Gaylord. Dr. Larry Skendzel officiated the ceremony.

Chelsea is the daughter of Brenda and Keith Rowley of Bay City. Douglas is the son of Liz and Mark Beckman of Marquette.

Brianna Archangeli was maid of honor; Brianna Schisler was matron of honor. The other attendants were Haley Balzer, Shelby Doyle, Samantha Coykendall, Ashley Halm, Janelle Taylor and Laura Beckman.

The best man was Andrew Short. Groomsmen were Tom Cseter, Kyle Annelin, Johnny Beckman, Aaron Bender, Tyler Hendershot, Ryan Kovach and Chris Kyle.

Ushers were Zach Rowley, Seth Rowley, Jordan Presley and Max Vanderpool. Brianne Kramer was hostess and reader. Grace and Charlie Dimitroff were the flower girls, and the couple’s beloved dog Gizmo was the ring bearer.

Chelsea is a 2011 graduate of John Glenn High School and a 2015 graduate of Alma College. She is employed by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation as a community assistance specialist.

Douglas is a 2011 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. He completed his undergraduate at Alma College in 2015 and graduated from Central Michigan University College of Medicine in 2019. He is in the surgical residency program at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.

A dinner and dance reception was held at Sojourn Lakeside Resort in Gaylord. The couple plans a honeymoon trip in the spring. They reside in Grand Rapids.
