Holiday Open House set at library

MARQUETTE — Spend the afternoon wandering through a winter wonderland of trees at the Peter White Public Library’s annual Holiday Open House from 3-5 p.m. Saturday throughout the library.

Snack on tasty treats provided by the Library Staff and Friends while strolling through the trees and wreaths decorated by Marquette area community members, families, and organizations.

Over 70 trees and wreaths will be displayed on the main and lower levels of the library.

While wandering through the trees, enjoy the music of local singer-songwriter, Michael Waite. Michael has a BS from NMU in music with a focus on performing songs in a classical style. In 2015 he was recognized by the Marquette Arts and Culture Center as the Performing Artist of the Year. He will be accompanied by his wife Erica Waite who will dance to his music.

During the open house, children can make a Christmas craft in the Youth Service department.

The 2019 Winter Wonderland Walk will remain on display through Dec. 27 during regular library hours.

There is no admission charge to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
