MARQUETTE — The Superior Watershed Partnership’s 20th Anniversary Celebration will be held on Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Marquette Regional History Center.

According to a press release: “The SWP is honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. David Suzuki, Canada’s leading environmental educator, climate activist, television host and author!”

The evening starts at the Marquette Regional History Center with the keynote address by Dr. Suzuki. An opening reception includes appetizers, wine and beer (cash bar) with jazz provided by Dave Ziegner and company. Suzuki will participate in a book signing following his talk.

The evening continues across the street at the Ore Dock Brewing Co. with the Canadian band Greenbank from Thunder Bay, Ontario (Greenbank has opened for REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Chicago). Opening for Greenbank will be local legends Jim and Ray.

Tickets for the anniversary event are $25 and are available at www.superiorwatersheds.org. A limited number of tickets are available.
