No prior experience is necessary. Tai Chi is a gentle exercise the integrates breathing with slow movements based on animal forms and images from the natural world. Used books — The Friends of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library sponsor a sale of used books in the Leverton Community Room on the lower level of the library. This date, 10 a.m. to noon all books will be half price. In the afternoon there will be a bag sale, with books selling for $3 a bag.

Book crafting — The Negaunee Public Library is offering a free book crafting course at 10 a.m. Instead of sending books that have reached the end of their on-shelf lives to the recycling center or dump, turn them into art. Library staff will teach you the art of book folding and share other fun ideas for upcycling previously loved books.
