Tuesday

MAPS sixth grade — Bothwell Middle School will welcome incoming sixth grade students at an orientation program, this date for current fifth graders from Cherry Creek and Superior Hills Elementary schools. The program will include musical performances, information about Bothwell, a question and answer session, and tours of the school led by sixth grade teachers. Prospective students not currently attending MAPS are invited this session and should call the Bothwell Middle School Office at 225-4262 to reserve a spot.

Art techniques — Joe Rayome will demonstrate his award-winning watercolor techniques at the Lake Superior Art Association program at 7 p.m. in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. The MACC is on the lower level of Peter White Public Library at 217 N. front. Rayome lives in New York and is formerly from the Marquette area. He is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Following a two-day studio workshop, Rayome will teach a Plein Air class on Friday.
