Alcoholics Anonymous — Morning Big Book Group meets at 10 a.m., 1001 N. Second St., Ishpeming. ADA accessible, enter in back.

Arbor Day — At 11 a.m., there will be tree planting at Park Cemetery, by the fit strip, in honor of Arbor Day and the volunteers who create and maintain 12 demonstration flower gardens sites in Park Cemetery. The volunteers are primarily MSU extension Master Gardeners.

Bingo — Bell Auxiliary is sponsoring a senior luncheon and bingo every third Friday of the month. The luncheon/bingo will be at the Ishpeming Senior Center from noon to 2 p.m. There is no charge. Pizza with a Purpose — third annual fundraiser is planned from noon to 9 p.m. at Pictured Rocks Pizza, 106 Birch St., in Munising. This event is a collaboration between the Alger County Communities That Care and Pictured Rocks Pizza.

Fish fry — American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette, will have fish fry from 5-7 p.m. On the menu, whitefish, shrimp or chicken strips and choice of baked potato or french fries. Salad bar is included with all meals. The public is invited. This will be the last fish fry until September.

Brain Trust — The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council presents the world premiere of “The Brain Trust,” written by local veteran Bill Hager at the Vista Theater, 7 p.m., Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for active military and veterans, seniors and students kindergarten through 12 and will be sold at Snowbound Books in Marquette, Midtown Bakery in Negaunee and Rare Earth Goods in Ishpeming and www.vistatheater.org.
