‘Collection’ performances set

MARQUETTE — Guest artist TaMaMa Dance Company presents “Collection,” an original full-length modern dance performance.

The show will premiere at 7:30 p.m. June 4 and extend through June 8 at Northern Michigan University’s Panowski Black Box Theatre as part of Forest Roberts Theatre Summer Season.

Created specifically for the unique and intimate setting of the Black Box Theatre, “Collection” is an accumulation of movement gathered for study, comparison, and exhibition with the intention to intrigue, surprise, and inspire.

TDC is a Marquette based non-profit modern dance group. For more information, visit tamamadance.com. Show length is approximately 1 hour and is appropriate for all ages.

The James A. Panowski Black Box Theatre is located in the McClintock building on NMU’s campus. Tickets available online at www.nmu.universitytickets.com, at any NMU Ticket office and will also be available at the door.

Memorial Day events to be held

MARQUETTE — Memorial Day events on Monday in Marquette will include a 9:30 a.m. service at Holy Cross Cemetery and a 10:15 a.m. service at Park Cemetery. Refreshments will be served at the American Legion Post 44 following the services.

Prior to Memorial day, flags will be placed on all veterans graves at Park Cemetery at 6 p.m. Wednesday and at Holy Cross cemetery at 6 p.m. Thursday.
