Open Gym — from 10:30-noon at PEAK Gymnastics and Fitness, Marquette. $5 entry fee. Non-members are welcome.

Taste Tour of the World — Northern Michigan University will host “Taste Tour of the World” lunches at the Wildcat Den in the University Center. The meals will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are free for NMU students with a meal plan. General admission is $9.75 and children can eat for $5.75. The menu this date: Spanish cuisine will include chicken and rice with chorizo, potato bravas with bravas sauce and garlic aioli, tarta de santiago (Spanish almond cake) and churros.

IHS 1958 — The Ishpeming High School Class of 1958 will meet for lunch at 12:30 pm. at Jasper Ridge Brewery in Ishpeming. Spouses are welcome. The class meets at Jasper Ridge the third Thursday of every month. For more information, call 228-3066.

Genealogy Help — Members of the Marquette County Genealogical Society are available to assist with researching family history. Peter White Public Library Reference area, 2-4 p.m.

Diabetes support — group meeting from 5-7 p.m. at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum for parents of children living with type 1 diabetes. The group will be meeting every third Thursday of the month. Parents will have a chance to meet and discuss issues, concerns, and get advice from other parents who may be going through similar situations with their children. Snacks will be served.
