Superiorland Breakfast Kiwanis — meets 7-8 a.m., Pioneer Room A of University Center at Northern Michigan University. Meetings are open to the public.

Alcoholics Anonymous — meets 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church in Ishpeming.

American Legion Department Service Officer — Lisa Clark will be in Marquette from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St. She is available to assist all veterans and families of veterans with claims preparation, presentation, counsel and appeal counsel at no cost to the veterans. Anyone who believe they may be eligible for VA compensation on health, education and/or employment issues, stop by Post 44 and see Clark. Be aware that this visit may be canceled for bad weather

Creativity — Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum’s Second Thursday Creativity Nights will be Family Science Night this month. The event will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. It will be a night of science-themed crafts featuring NMU Science Clubs, live music and a free Culver’s custard 10-topping sundae bar. Free admission for all provided by GEI Consultants.

Meditation Class — Join Jeremy Morelock for this weekly meditation class emphasizing mindfulness, loving-kindness and compassion. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room 5:30 p.m.
