Blues society logo contest starting
MARQUETTE — The Marquette Area Blues Society is seeking entries for its annual logo contest for the 16th annual Marquette Area Blues Fest, to be held over Labor Day weekend 2019 in Marquette.
Area artists, students, and blues enthusiasts are encouraged to enter. One logo will be chosen as winner, and judges’ decisions are final. All submissions must be received by March 2.

‘Crazy Rich Asians’ to be screened
MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites film fans to watch “Crazy Rich Asians” at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the library’s Community Room on the lower level.
Bring dinner to enjoy this movie in a dinner theater setting with other movie lovers.
When Rachel Chu, an American born Chinese economics professor travels to Singapore for her boyfriend’s best-friend’s wedding, she discovers a secret: Nick is super wealthy and the most eligible bachelor in Asia. Wealth should be a blessing, not a curse; however, Rachel finds that all the single women in his social class want to bring her down to be with him.
Featuring a totally Asian and Asian-American cast starring Constance Wu, Henry Golding and Michelle Yeoh, this 2018 romantic comedy is rated PG-13 and runs 120 minutes.
