‘Manitowoc Minute’ coming to NMU

MARQUETTE — Comedian Charlie Berens, the camouflage-clad host of the popular “Manitowoc Minute” online video series, will bring a live version of the show to Northern Michigan University.

The Wisconsin native will discuss local headlines, the Packers and all things Midwestern during the Marquette stop of his “Oh My Gosh Tour.” His show begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Forest Roberts Theatre. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for students and $5 for NMU students.

Every Monday, Berens releases a minute(ish)-long installment of da “Manitowoc Minute” that pokes fun at everything from national and Wisconsin news stories to a free frozen rabbit and other items available on Craigslist.

Recent episodes have touched on Vladimir Putin’s new jets, Aaron Rodgers’ perfect pass “to some dude on a boat,” 911 calls over sausage, bears stuck in basements and Paul McCartney being a fan of the show.

Tickets are available at all NMU outlets or online at nmu.edu/tickets. For more information on Berens and his show, visit manitowocminute.com.
