Lake Superior Zendo — Zazen (Zen Buddhist meditation) meets at 7:40 a.m., 8:30 a.m.; morning service at 9:10 a.m. Call 226-6407 for location and details.

Rummage sale — Community Presbyterian Church of Big Bay, 312 Bensinger, will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For additional information, call 906-345-9225 or 309-507-0853.

Community Yard Sale —  The Community Yard Sale being put on by the South County Fund Committee Women Who Care, a non-profit organization will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Branch Township Hall, 1016 County Road 545 N. Featured will be hot dogs, hand pies and the group’s famous pies. A variety of vendors will be participating. Proceeds go toward scholarships, grants which support youth development and the local food pantry.

Alcoholics Anonymous — meets 9 a.m., First United Methodist Church, Marquette. Handicapped accessible. Call AA Hotline at 249-4430.

YMCA Tang Soo Do Karate — in Marquette for private lessons by appointment from 9:15-9:45 a.m.

Intermediate all ages from 10-11 a.m. Family karate from 11 a.m. to noon and youth beginners from noon to 1 p.m. A Christian perspective, Spirit Warrior Karate Academy. Contact 6th Degree Black Belt Master Joyce Tredeau at 360-0479 or the Y at 227-9622.

Tai Chi Chuan — an Introductory workshop to Tai Chi Chuan will be at 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Hope Connection Center, 927 W. Fair Ave. in Marquette. There is no cost for the event. The workshop is a summer gift from the Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, religion and the environment. Weather permitting, a portion of the workshop will be held at the Presque Isle Park Pavilion.

Artisans Market — An Artisans Market is planned in Michigamme from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Home grown, hand crafted, and home baked items will be sold. No resale, retail, or rummage. The event will take place in the Michigamme Library side yard. There will be music and a food concession.

Pop Up Sale — The Friends of the Peter White Public Library will be having a Pop Up Book Sale on the main floor of the library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Zumba — Latin-inspired cardio dance fitness class offered 10 a.m. at Dawn Dott Dance Studio, Marquette. Cost: $5. Call 360-9287.
