Chair yoga — Chair yoga is offered at the Gwinn Clubhouse at 10 a.m. $2 donation goes to library fund. Call 346-2117 for more information.

Chair Yoga — 10:30-11:30 a.m., Chair Yoga provides a unique opportunity to find deeper well-being though exploration of gentle postures, breath work, meditation and deep relaxation. Gentle chair yoga can be practiced by almost anyone at any age. The entry-level requirement for practicing yoga in a chair is simply the ability to breathe and to sit upright in a chair while gently moving the torso and limbs. Ideal for Seniors, those with hip and knee challenges, low back injury recovery. Make sure you doctor has cleared you for activity. Open Gym — from 10:30-noon at PEAK Gymnastics and Fitness, Marquette. $5 entry fee. Non-members are welcome.

Summer Reading — Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library, Tom Pease — 11 a.m. Join in for a one of a kind concert with the amazing children’s musician, Tom Pease. Perfect for children and families of all ages. Book Worms: 5 p.m. Tweens ages 10-14 are invited to join our book club. This month features the 2018 Newbery winner “Hello, Universe” by Erin Entrada Kelly. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library

IHS 1958 — The Ishpeming High School Class of 1958 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. at the Jasper Ridge Brewery in Ishpeming. Spouses are welcome. The class meets at Jasper Ridge the third Thursday of every month. For more information, call 228-3066.

Beacon Light — Volunteers are needed for the mail preparation of the Ishpeming HIgh School Alumni Association newsletter, The Beacon Light, at 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to report to the IHS library. Use the Division Street entrance as all others will be locked. Work will consist of labeling approximately 6,000 pieces of mail.

Safe and Sober Group — for survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence. 1-2:30 p.m. Conducted by the Women’s Center. Contact Camille at 226-6611 for more information.

Aktion Club — community service group for adults who live with a disability meets 1:30-2:30 p.m. first/third Thursdays at the Tourville West Clubhouse, Marquette. Call Troy Connors at 251-8353 or Miriam Black at 360-9430.

Trillium House — an open house is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. The home is located at 1144 Northland Drive in Marquette. The public is welcome.

Diabetes support — group meeting from 5-7 p.m. at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum for parents of children living with type 1 diabetes. The group will be meeting every third Thursday of the month. Parents will have a chance to meet and discuss issues, concerns, and get advice from other parents who may be going through similar situations with their children. Snacks will be served. TOPS — Group 1579 meets at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 440 Stoneville Road, Ishpeming. Weigh-in at 5 p.m., meeting at 5:30 p.m.
