American Legion Department Service Officer — Lisa Clark will be in Marquette from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St. She is available to assist all veterans and families of veterans.

Rock Hoppers Hiking Club for Book Lovers — 10 a.m.- noon. Meet at the Ridge Street lawn outside Peter White Public Library. Grades 6 to 9 are invited to join. Walk to Founders Landing, sit on the rocks with a snack, and talk about books. Round trip hike totals 1.5 miles. Hikers should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring their own water. Chair Yoga — 10:30-11:30 a.m., Chair Yoga provides a unique opportunity to find deeper well-being though exploration of gentle postures, breath work, meditation and deep relaxation. Gentle chair yoga can be practiced by almost anyone at any age. The entry-level requirement for practicing yoga in a chair is simply the ability to breathe and to sit upright in a chair while gently moving the torso and limbs. Ideal for Seniors, those with hip and knee challenges, low back injury recovery. Make sure you doctor has cleared you for activity. VFW Ladies Auxiliary 4573 of Ishpeming — meets at 1:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at the Post Home.

Summer Reading — Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library, Bad Art: Tweens and teens join us to create something dreadful without parameters. 2 p.m.

Business After Hours — the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce’s next Business After Hours event, hosted by the Negaunee Historical Society, 303 E.
