MSP announces open house at Negaunee post

NEGAUNEE — The Michigan State Police, Marquette County Dispatch, and Negaunee Regional Communications Center invite the public to attend their open house at the Michigan State Police Negaunee Township Post located at 180 U.S. 41E, Negaunee Township, from 1-4 p.m. June 20.

In a press release, Trooper Stacey Rasanen said, “Residents will be able to see the equipment we use on a daily basis and officers will be available to answer home security and general safety questions.”

A departmental recruiter will be present for those interested in employment with the Michigan State Police.

In addition to enjoying cake, coffee, and a tour of the post, visitors will be able to view Marquette County Central Dispatch (9-1-1) and the Negaunee Regional Communications Center.

There will also be displays and canine demonstrations.

Representatives from the State Police Crime Lab, Emergency Support Team and a MSP canine handler will be present at the open house.

The American Red Cross and Triad will also be at the event.

All are welcome to attend this fun-filled event suited for both children and adults.
