‘Harvey Kids’ to gather

HARVEY — For the fourth year, Harvey Kids from the 1950s will gather on the last Monday in July.

The gathering brings together Harvey kids from the 1950s plus “bus kids” from Skandia, Green Garden, West Branch and other areas.

This year, the get-together for lunch and reminiscing will be at 11:30 a.m. July 31 at Bayou Bar and Grill in Harvey (the old Harvey Inn).

Anyone who would like to attend is invited.

Rainbow Pride to hold dance

MARQUETTE — Upper Peninsula Rainbow Pride is having a dance at 9 p.m. Friday, July 28 at Marquette Mountain.

The suggested donation at the door is $5 and this is an event for age 18 and older. The “UP4Pride” dance will include bucket-draws, a live DJ and plenty of entertainment.

As always UPRP will be holding its annual Pride Fest Sept. 16 from noon to 10 p.m.
