Cyclist event to aid Beacon House

MARQUETTE – Motorcycles will be roaring the shores of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan Saturday on a ride for Beacon House. The ride begins at 9 a.m. at L’Attitude in Marquette with breakfast, and a 10 a.m. parade down Washington Street from Front to Lincoln Avenue.

Riders will stop at Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson then travel to the Kewadin Casino in Christmas, through Munising to Wetmore, to Escanaba and Little Lake with a stop at The Throttle Bar & Grill, then to Up North Lodge for a barbecue rib dinner, music from Flat Broke Blues Band, a silent auction and drawing for prizes.

One motorcycle participant will be drawn to win two tickets to the three-day Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee, Wis., and two tickets to see Toby Keith in concert. For more information, visit the Beacon House website, www.upbh.org or call 225-7100.
