MARQUETTE –The search for Aaron Royal McGeorge continues in Marquette Township.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, volunteers from Marquette County Search and Rescue, and additional K9s from both the Michigan State Police and Alger County Sheriff’s Office continue to conduct ground searches of the area, according to a MCSO press release.

The United States Air Force Rescue Coordination Center has worked to provide helicopters from the United States Coast Guard and the Wisconsin Air National Guard to conduct air searches.

The sheriff’s office continues to request that the public attempt to avoid the Hogback Mountain and Harlow Lake areas during the search efforts. This will help reduce the time spent on K9s tracking false scent trails and air units attempting to identify individuals spotted on the ground.

Anyone who may have possibly seen Aaron McGeorge, or has information that may assist in the search for him, is asked to call the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line 906-225-8441. Anyone with information regarding Aaron McGeorge’s current whereabouts is asked to call 911.
