Virtual walk for Pregnancy Services in Delta County

ESCANABA — Pregnancy Services of Delta County kicked off its 7th Annual Walk for Life with 7 Days to Walk for Life, starting with an in person event Saturday at the Ludington Park Pavilion. The event featured an opening ceremony and two-mile walk.

For those who missed the in-person event, a virtual option is available now through June 19. You can register online at psdcpartners.org

“Our theme this year is ‘Love Them Both,'” shared Audra Buchmiller, executive director of Pregnancy Services of Delta County. “All proceeds raised will provide care, help, and hope for women and families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy as well as those with young children. Our goal this year is set at $35,000. If at least $30,000 of our goal is reached, a friend of our ministry will donate an additional $15,000 gift.

“This amazing opportunity would help towards adding ultrasound services, abortion pill reversal, and additional resources to empower women and families to live the life they deserve.”

As of June, close to $24,000 had already been raised.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of our community, and this special opportunity,” said Buchmiller.

Donations received online or postmarked by June 19 will go towards unlocking the additional $15,000 gift.

Donations can be mailed to the center at 1801 Ludington St., in Escanaba, or made online at psdcpartners.org.
