‘Waiting for Wiig’ to be screened

NEGAUNEE– The Negaunee Public Library will hold a screening of “Waiting for Wiig,” a locally produced movie, at 6 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the library.

The film is intended for adult audiences. Cast and crew from the movie will be on hand to discuss the film.

This event is free to the public.

PWPL Book Group to meet April 2

MARQUETTE — In honor of Poetry Month, the Peter White Library Book Group will meet at 7 p.m. April 2 in the Dandelion Cottage Room at the library to share and discuss members’ favorite poetry.

Once Upon a Crime meets April 10

MARQUETTE — Once Upon A Crime, the book group for Mystery Lovers, will meet at 7 p.m.Wednesday, April 10 in the Dandelion Cottage Room at the Peter White Public Library to discuss “Witness for the Prosecution” by Agatha Christie.

A man is accused of murdering his wealthy woman friend in order to secure his inheritance. The defendant’s mysterious wife stuns the courtroom by giving damaging testimony against her husband. The web of intrigue is finally unwoven in a shocking, chilling conclusion. Read the story and watch the film as part of “The book is better?” theme for the year.
