Micheau director of Bays de Noc CVB

ESCANABA — The Bays de Noc Convention and Visitors Bureau recently announced that Robert Micheau will become the executive director for the destination marketing organization. As a marketing and public relations professional, Micheau brings nine years of marketing, event planning, and public relations experience from Michigan Works as well as six years of experience operating a lodging property in Delta County to the new position.

“Robert has been a part of the tourism sector in Delta County working with industry and community partners for many years,” said Jarred Drown, owner of the Terrace Bay Hotel and Chair of the Bays de Noc Convention and Visitors Bureau Board. “His experience is really well-rounded and we are very excited about what he will bring to this position.”

Micheau is a native of Gladstone, and graduated from Gladstone High School. He graduated summa cum laude from the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations earning recognition from multiple national and international honor societies. Micheau has worked closely with the tourism industry in the Upper Peninsula through the Delta County Tourism Regional Skills Alliance and the UPWARD Initiative Tourism Advisory Committee in his role with Michigan Works.
