HANCOCK — One team’s struggle becomes another team’s victory. Hancock, down a key player due to injury, faced a tough opponent in the L’Anse, which came into the night on a five-game hot streak Friday.
The Purple Hornets played tough defensively in the first half and took a lead they would never look back from in a 65-28 victory.
Senior Louie Bogda put up 30 points for the Purple Hornets and continued his run of being an offensive leader.
L’Anse coach Kyle Koski praised his team’s ability to move the ball around the court.
“We have good ball movement right now,” he said. “We’re playing as a team. We’re very unselfish.”
L’Anse travels to Ishpeming on Monday. Hancock will play at Gwinn on Tuesday.
