Trappers Workshop scheduled for February

HERMANSVILLE — The Upper Peninsula Trappers Association will hold its 14th annual Trappers Workshop at the Hermansville Community Center from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. EST on Feb. 2.

Among the demonstrations scheduled are one on mink, muskrat and raccoon trapping, another on weasel trapping and one on fur handling.

Clint Seawright of Skunk Creek Furs will buy furs and several other trappers will have trapping and outdoor supplies for sale.

All youngsters attending in the afternoon are guaranteed to win a door prize, while younger beginner kids will be given a weasel trapping set with older kids to receive a new dog-proof raccoon trap.

Admission is free and food and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout.
