Roses top 3 at Terra-X snowmobile event

Klayton Kin of Ontonagon, center, on an Arctic Cat won the event. Rose was the fastest qualifier but came off the track's groove in the finals of the slalom part of the course. This event was open to children ages 4 to 11. Among other winners that day were Travis Kaurala of Nisula, a professional snowmobile hill climber who won four classes. Wyatt McIntyre of Greenland won twice, while Jordan Wolfe of Montreal, Wis., took the Pro Open Stock division. The next MASTERS — Mid America Snow and Terrain Expert Racers — event will be held in South Range on Feb. 2 at Whealkate Bluff. (Photo courtesy Skip Schultz)
