LL tourney start times updated

MARQUETTE – Though the matchups and the dates remain the same from a story in Saturday’s Mining Journal, there are a number of updates on times of games in two Little League baseball all-star tournaments being held in Marquette this week and next.

For the 11-12-year-old baseball, all games being played in Marquette from today through Friday begin at 6:30 p.m. That includes today’s Marquette vs. Ishpeming game and Tuesday’s game between Negaunee and today’s winner.

There are also several winner’s and loser’s bracket games that will be played at that same time on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, on adjacent fields when needed.

The championship is still set for noon Saturday, and if necessary, noon Sunday, all in Marquette.

In the 9-10-year-old baseball that begins Saturday, the Marquette 1 vs. Marquette 2 game will be played at 2 p.m., followed by Negaunee vs. Ishpeming at 4 p.m. Both games are in Marquette.

On Sunday, a loser’s bracket game will be played at 2 p.m. and winner’s bracket at 4 p.m., again in Marquette.

Winner’s and loser’s bracket games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13-15, will also be at 6 p.m. in Marquette, with the championship at that time on Thursday, July 16, and if necessary game on Friday, July 17.
