ISHPEMING – In Class A of the Iron Range Women’s Softball League, UP Home Health outlasted Buck’s Party Store, 21-20, in week 3 action.

Terri Tammelin hit a home run, and Mandy Meyer, Megan Reilly and Megan Coombs added five hits apiece, for the winners.

Deb Zummak (four) and Nikki Christensen (three) combined for seven hits for Buck’s.

Sue Rice recorded three hits to lead Jubilee Foods to a 9-8 win over Sisters, despite three hits apiece by Tia Dobson, Anna Dompierre and Jesse Rosten for the losers.

Cliffs Natural Resources blasted Pasquali’s, 21-7, behind a Grand slam by Cassy Sandberg, two homers by Mya Maanika and a circuit clout by Nikki Schultz. Kaylin Marshall added four hits.

For Pasquali’s, Tricia Miilu posted four hits and Nicki Frisk three.

Britney Racine went 3-for-4, including a triple, and Courtney Waara hit a homer as Screened Image downed Venice I, 13-8. Abbie Salisbury and Nikki Whitford produced three hits each for Venice I.

Jasper Ridge Brewery won by forfeit over Quality Car Care.

In Class B, Signs Unlimited trimmed Crossfit 906, 14-13 in extra innings, behind four hits by Siiri Lawson and three by Emily Garceau. Amanda Emmes and Traci Sundberg recorded three safeties apiece for Crossfit 906.

Jordann Grigg, Gabby Croley and Macey Mahoski all belted home runs, while Chelsey Belden went 5-for-5, as Jack’s TeePee dumped Paradise, 24-8.

Jen Polkki and Kathy Maynard rapped out three hits apiece for Paradise.

Honkala Construction got a homer from Mia Storm in an 8-7 triumph over AAA Insurance. Toni Enrietti hit a homer for the vanquished.

Joy Prisk went 4-for-4 (triple) and Janelle Buttery 3-for-3 (double) to back winning pitcher Sue Bazzinette in a 21-1 romp by the Negaunee Eagles over Venice III. Caylie Gray and Katy VanBuren posted two hits each for Venice III.

Chapper’s edged Dave’s Collision, 6-5, behind four hits apiece by Michelle Gray and Dana Rivord. Jamee Gobert went 3-for-4 with a homer for Dave’s.

In Class C action, Red Rock Lanes defeated Eastwood, 17-14, as Deanne O’Connor went 4-for-4 with a home run, triple and double. Chelsea Hewitt posted four hits for Eastwood.

Penny Comment produced three hits, and Amber Rude and Ashley Juchemich two apiece, as Willey’s Tire shop shaded Palomaki Family Chiropractic, 7-6.

Kay Trudgeon went 4-for-4 and Barb Palomaki 2-for-3 for the losers.

Bertucci Construction bounced Wooden Nickel, 15-5, behind four hits each by Kinsie Bertucci and Rhonda Bertucci.

UP Fabricating stopped Venice II, 12-9, as hurler Renee Caya fanned 10 for the winners.

Sue Luokkala went 3-for-3 for Venice II.

Taryn Moyle slammed two home runs, and Amber Salo added a double and a triple, as Martin Sports drubbed Congress Pizza, 26-5. Tera Bell hit a double and a triple for Congress.

Rookie’s drew a bye.
