Northern Michigan University volleyball team signs 4 high school players in November
MARQUETTE — Head coach Mike Lozier announced that four high school players signed to attend Northern Michigan University and play volleyball for the Wildcats during the NCAA early signing period in November.
Alli Yacko is a libero who played four years for Oak Lawn, Illinois, Community High School. She set school records for kills and aces and was named all-conference all four years along with three team MVP awards. She was named the conference player of the year as a junior.
Alyssa Milski is an outside hitter-middle blocker from Oregon, Wisconsin, High School. An AAU Academic All-American, she was a four-year varsity starter and was named all-conference three times. She also qualified for the state finals in shot during the track and field season.
Abby Fortune is a setter from Appleton, Wisconsin, North High School. She led her school in assists and aces and was named to all-conference and to the Badger Region High Performance Team.
Lizzy Stark is an outside hitter from Washburn High School in Minneapolis. A three-time all-conference pick, as a senior she had 288 digs, 310 kills and 85 aces. During the club season, Stark was named the an MVP at the USA Nationals and All-American at AAU nationals.
