Chloe Hale leads 3 Marquette Redettes on All-Great Northern Conference volleyball teams

KINGSFORD — Led by senior Chloe Hale, three Marquette Senior High School volleyball players earned Great Northern Conference all-league honors.

Hale, a setter and right-side hitter, was one of six players named to the GNC First Team.

Joining her on the second team are Redettes senior outside hitter Lauren Wilkinson and junior libero and defensive specialist Mikaila Graham.

Marquette bowed out in its first match of the Class A district tournament at Petoskey on Oct. 31. Playing at home on Oct. 14, MSHS also finished third at the GNC Tournament, compiling a combined regular-season and tourney record of 4-4 and finishing only behind regular-season co-champions Sault Ste. Marie and Escanaba.

First Team — Paige Wendt and Dacota Lambert, Escanaba; Katja Wilhelms and Kelsie Sibbald, Sault Ste. Marie; and Abygail Pickett, Kingsford

Second Team — Kaleia Lawrence and Taleise Lawrence, Escanaba; Val Gage and Krsiten Laprade, Sault Ste. Marie; Samantha Maycunich and Jordyn Kreigl, Kingsford; and Brianne Burnette and Emma Hofer, Menominee
