Superior Central Cougars football team runs wild vs. North Dickinson Nordics

EBEN — Superior Central went back to the basics on a rainy Saturday and rolled to a 62-6 Western Eight Conference football victory against visiting North Dickinson.

Roubens Fink carried six times for 157 yards and three touchdowns and Beau Rondeau totaled 229 yards rushing and two scores on 10 carries for the Cougars, who led 38-0 at halftime. Fink, who scored on runs of 36, 65 and 53 yards, surpassed 1,000 yards rushing this season.

Rondeau ran in a pair of TDs while one each was credited to Austin Swetich, Josh Kulik and Wade Krysiak, the latter one’s on a fumble return.

North Dickinson (1-7, 1-7) avoided a shutout with a fourth-quarter TD pass.

The Cougars finished with 586 yards rushing on 41 attempts. They also recovered eight fumbles.

SC (2-5, 2-5) travels to Flint on Saturday for a nonleague game at the Michigan School for the Deaf.
